You get what you pay for. No live contact with accounting. Support is nice on the phone…when not talking to vmail.
I would strongly recommend against using this vendor. They are always down, technical support is average and customer service is the worst I have ever run across. When you attempt to cancel they completely ignore you.
They do pretty good in the hosting, provide a comparable product at a comparable rate. Support is available but hours are limited.
Overall, I would give them an 8/10, they are a good deal!
They moved our Miva store for free which was nice. It took 3 days to move, it was estimated at 2 days, but there was no down time. I have had 3 support requests and they were handled the same day. So far so good.
I stayed for so long because I used that particular domain for development, however this is the worst host I have ever used. Support, sales and billing are near impossible to get a hold of. SiteTurn is not, as purported, available M-F 9-7 PST by phone. The best response I ever received was their auto-responder by email, with no follow-up. And, their live chat is offline a majority of the time. The only positive thing I have to say is that, yes, when you do get Support on the phone, they are nice, but nice doesn’t really get things done. They have noticeable downtime and I experienced the same negligence when I attempted to cancel my account.
And–get this–the reason I finally decided to cancel my account was that one day PHP just stopped working. I opened up Plesk to find that SiteTurn just disabled PHP on my account altogether without telling me, for no particular reason.
Without any written notice, I was charged for another 2 years and only discovered the transaction when I was looking over my checking account balance. Over a month later I’m still trying to resolve the charge and have filed a complaint with the BBB.
Their hosting is NOT comparable. BlueHost, which is less expensive, offers a great deal more and is incredibly stable with outstanding support. I’ve had better experiences with HostRocket, Dreamhost and Media Temple.
I would recommend SiteTurn for pet projects or hosting your MySpace photos, but it is not a realistic solution for any kind of actual business.
