Affordable hosting. Everything is very reliable once you are setup with everything. Their systems tend to have issues just getting setup, but their support is fantastic. 24/7 live sales support (so they tell you to file a ticket). Support tickets are answered usually within 30 minutes.

I’ve been with SeekDotNet for over 2 years or so now and up until recently have been reasonably happy with the service provided. Recently, though, I have had a couple of billing and support issues:

Firstly, I have recently upgraded to their largest Vps plan they offer. They said that the site would be down for 30 minutes but it ended up being 15 hours, plus I lost 3 hours of data from my database when they had to revert it for some reason. Upon requesting compensation for this as specified in their Sla, they said that the problem was due to third party software (in this case Windows OS), so they wouldn’t give me an compensation whatsoever.

The biggest problem with this upgrade was the billing though. I was invoiced $200 for the upgrade (this was cheaper because I’d already paid 1 year of the smaller plan), however when they went to charge my credit card, they changed this invoice (without informing me) and took more than $1000 from me. When I inquired about this, they tried their absolute utmost to get out of reimbursing me and in the end I lost out $300 or so.

Their billing staff is horrible to deal with and their unethical practice of changing invoices and charging credit cards is appalling. If I had more time and money, I would invest in a lawyer to get my money back and some compensation for their failures.

Take my advice and stay away from SeekDotNet. Their prices are really good, especially for their Vps plans, but their billing support and practices are horrible.

I will be moving as soon as my current plan expires.
