I would like to submit a review on Networkeleven.com. I registered with them after seeing them as one of the top 25 hosts at hostindex.com. My experience was just the worst I ever had in any host I have ever been with before. I want to warn everyone about this company. Aside from being slow and having downtime every other week, they are rude and just awful. I signed up with them and used communityarchitect services. Im sure most webmasters know who communityarchitect is. So basically other users sign up for free homepages on my domain. Now can I control who signs up for a free webspace and what they put on their sites? I can only wait to be notified and then take some action. Microsoft found a site which some user had that was selling illegal microsoft products. Therefore next thing I know is my site is totally suspended instantly because my domain name was used as part of the subdomain for their free homepage (ie- you.mydomain.com). Then I tried so hard to contact networkeleven, and told them that I had NO CONTROL over who signs up for a free homepage. I begged and pleaded to them to atleast give me a warning before they suspend the site and atleast to wait to hear from me. They just replied finally saying ‘It does not matter, you control what happens in your domain’. So I wrote so much back to them saying communityarchitect handles all these issues and usualy closes any accounts like that, and please forward this issue to them. I said we are innocent of this and have no control of this. They refused to listen to ANYTHING I had to say and were extremely rude and unfriendly to us as if it was us who were selling illegal products. I wrote back and kept trying to explain, but to no avail. So I then said can you please enable our FTP for an hour so we can get all our files. I was very polite in every contact I made. I get a reply back with this- “NO- You have been terminated”. So then I sent them another email asking to just refund me, because I payed a full year in advance, and I was suspended within 35 days- and so it turns out I end up getting MAILER-DAEMONs, which led me to believe that they blocked my email address! I have not heard from them at all. I think all their email addresses are forwarded to 1 email account. I emailed all their contacts. No reply whatsoever! What type of a company treats their paying customers this way? How am I supposed to control who does what with a free homepage. Its just an added service I was offering. I was mistreated so much by them. I think this website is handled by a single individual. It should say in their terms that they wont accept communityarchitect or any other free service like that. I actually spent a few thousand dollars advertising my site, which is operated by 4 guys, including myself. But our site was down by them for about 18 hours. How bad does that look on our part? Anyone who visits the site and sees the ‘You have been suspended’ sign would just never return. We are so stressed out by them. Anyway, I hope no one uses this company. They will mistreat you if anything goes wrong.

Take care

I haven’t had any issues of free websites, but I can only say that networkeleven.com has had more stability over other hosting providers I have been with. Only once in 10 months did I have an hour of downtime, and I consider that excellent. You are pretty much on your own as far as figuring out how to do several things with your reseller account, but they do have a good self-explanatory resources where you can read them and learn how to do things yourself. For the money, I think it is excellent. I don’t resell, I use it to run multiple websites of my own at far less than I would pay to host each separately.

Cutenews is hosted by networkeleven and I thought they must be a pretty good host if they host cutenews, so I emailed them some questions like what kind of servers do you have and other questions I already knew just to see how fast they would reply to my email. I never got an email back from them, so I choosed a different host. I don’t know how good their hosting really is, but if a host doesn’t have the time to write a simple email back then they don’t care or don’t want your business.

NetworkEleven charges top dollar for their plans and offers very limited space and bandwidth. I shopped around (silly me for not doing it before!) and found much better options, so am trying to switch hosts, but it’s impossible to contact them! They don’t reply to any inquiries by email phone or their online support system. I’m going to have to report my credit card stolen just to get them to stop taking my money! Stay away!
