Getting in touch with support is nearly impossible(READ THE FORUMS ON THEIR SITE)! A lot of people that have registered and been BILLED are not being setup(some as long as 3 months now!) I’ve been with them for around a year, and must say they’ve gone from outstanding to AVOID!!! status in my book. Peice of advice Register your domain with godaddy.com(No I don’t work for them, just a VERY happy customer) and find a host. saves ya a lot of hassles when changing hosts.

Cyberpixels.com have just canceled my account, because a search engine bot spidered my web site and apparently caused too many mysql connections.

It’s just an average database driven site, with around 2,000 pages and a chat forum. Each page just has one single database connection in it.

They’ve canceled it without notice, and without allowing me to back up the 7 web sites, and years worth of design work i have under my account. I’ve politely requested access to be able to back up, but it’s still being denied.

I’m pretty sure the only person who works for the company is a guy called “Ben”, as he’s replied to every query I’ve ever had with them, and he’s a very arrogant person.

I’ve lost my database with a 500 strong userbase, and months and months of reviews, articles, and most importantly, months of coding.

I’ve recently spent quite a bit of money advertising this web site, and it’s money wasted now that i’ve just lost everything.

Not good news for a 19 year old who doesnt have much money.

I strongly recommend staying away from cyberpixels. They’re very cheap, and they use cpanel, but their support and service is disgusting.

horrible service all around. site/functions randomly go down without notice. if you talk their extremely rude customer support about it, you usually get your problem fixed fairly quickly. if you file a helpdesk ticket for the problem you could be waiting forever for your site to come back up.

Once upon a time, cyberpixels were a brilliant host. They certainly were when I started with them.

However, they have been steadily going downhill and now its turned into a landslide. My site has been down for 3 days now without any contact from cyberpixels (as have other peoples sites if you read the forums). They don’t respond to help tickets, their support phone number is disconnected.

I’m voting with my feet and going to see what http://www.mdwebhosting.com.au/ is like, and I suspect that many other cyberpixels clients will also leave after one too many fiascos!

STAY AWAY!!! Many customers have been down for 4 days. No one is telling us why. It appears that there is only one employee and that they went on vacation and didn’t leave anyone in charge. (I am guessing, since no one is shedding any light.)

do not use cyberpixels. after all the server outages and the complete unprofessionalism of their only staff member.. they would not cancel my account..

i paid monthly and had to get in contact with 2checkout to get the billing stopped.

Do not use cyberpixels!

After firing all their staff, the sole staff member went on vacation… needless to say multiple servers went down and there was no one around to fix them.

When she (the only staff member) finally returned after a week she completely refused to answer the inquiries on the forums! She let the chaos continue to build.

She then wiped out the entire forum and all traces of problems so that there would be nothing to hinder cyberpixels new hosting plan, image, that was going into effect a few days later…

Needless to say cyberpixels has completely ignored my requests for cancelation and i had to get into contact with 2checkout to get the monthly billing stopped and my money refunded.

I repeat, do NOT use cyberpixels!

Cyberpixels are crap. At first they had really good customer support, but now there is none at all. My account is split into 2 spaces for my 2 domains, and for no reason one of them has been suspended. I’ve tried to go to the forums, but they’ve been deleted, and i’ve submitted a helpdesk ticket which has not been answered. (1 of my tickets was open for 3 months with no reply so I closed it).

When I registered a domain through them, they never bothered to tell me it expired, so I lost the domain.

Stay away from cyberpixels :P

Don’t go with them. I’m not even sure if there is anyone left actually running the company. My account has been randomly cancelled when it was up for renewal – and at the same time they charged by credit card the renewal fee! All attempts to access them have resulted in bounced emails or busy signals. Stay far, far away from them.

Did not renew my domain so web site is down. Won’t remove registrar-lock so I can transfer the domain name. BAD customer support! Don’t use these guys.

Horrible. Suspended account saying “~” and “#” shouldn’t be used as folder names, as if it affects something. Anyway, suspended again later, and they refused to even give a site backup when permanently suspending the account! On AIM the tech support has been idle nearly two days, impossible to contact. Their server is down right now, in fact. Avoid this host.

They’re absolutely horrible. Worthless.

I canceled my account, and they’re still charging. I took the dissatisfaction to 2checkout.com and the BBB because I couldn’t handle their actions anymore. I recommend everyone else having problems should do the same.

They break promises, they lie to customers, their support is about as useful as putting your hand in a blender, and they aren’t very friendly. Go somewhere else.

Sorry to say, but just today apparently my domain name expired (with no warning/reminder e-mail from cyberpixels, of course). And the name was snatched up by some DNS hoarding company. A friend of mine did some ?whois? research on cyberpixels, my domain name, etc and come to find out, CYBERPIXELS registered MY domain name with these guys! That?s how someone got it so fast! Because cyberpixels knew it was gonna expire, they jumped on it and registered it without warning to me! BASTARDS. I wish I could afford a lawyer.

A week after paying these people, I have still not been able to get anyone from there to reply to my emails or to pick up a phone. When (if!) I do manage to contact someone, it’ll be to ask for my money back.

I have had Cyberpixels for 4 or 5 years and have NEVER had a problem with their service. I have never had any down-time (minus the phpBB updates) or issues with their customer service. It took them over a year to transfer my e-mail address, but over the phone they are very competant and polite. I recommend Cyberpixels for the average person.

Of all the experiences I’ve had with webhosts (and I’ve had about 5 domains now, and 3 hosts), they are absolutely the WORST. They used to be pretty good with customer service, but after 3 years of not being with them, they’ve randomly charged the credit card I used to set up the account. No rhyme, no reason. I can’t get a hold of anyone.
I stopped service with Cyberpixels three years ago in the first place because my site was hacked into because of their lax security. I run a writing group off of my server, and I lost everything–from web pages I had compiled for years, and so on. Thankfully I had backed-up my writing forum a few days before, so at least I still had that.

Stay as far, far, far away as you can from Cyberpixels (and ehostpros while you’re at it, too). I currently host with inmotionhosting, and they’re absolutely fabulous.

R.M. { Customer for more than 2 years}

I used CyberPixels for years now. I started off using them as a registrar and a web host, but it turns out they were totally inept at being a web host (help support literally took at least 2 months to reply, sites were experiencing much downtime, etc), so I decided to just use them as a registrar, because no idiot could screw that up. Turns out I was wrong.

I had recommended them as a registrar to several of my clients, but now when it has come to clients renewing their domains this year, CyberPixels takes their money and doesn’t renew the domain. They also don’t answer their help tickets, and if you try to call them, you get a type of ‘message box is full’ error. There’s no forum for customers to go to, either.

There’s a reason this business is rated an ‘F’ with the Better Business Bureau.

STAY AWAY. I have been with them for 8 years I think. I used to love them and would recommend them to anyone. My domain recently expired – I paid to renew it but it was never done. I have tried calling but the voicemail box is full, they do not respond to e-mails and the online chat does not work. I can’t believe this is happening. I plan to contact the BBB and hope everyone else who has been scammed does too.

Joan E. Gosier { Customer for more than 2 years}

I would rate them a 0 if it were an option!

This company is horrible and I only wish I had found this site 2 months ago before they hijacked and took my small business’s domain name hostage! Has anyone filed a BBB complaint yet? Are they even still in business?

I stupidly renewed my domain 2 weeks ago.
Cyberpixels did NOT renew it with enom

I have lost my domain. It is now on domain auction websites

cyberpixels do not answer any of me pleas for help. I can’t access my domain, transfer it…. Enom.com doesn’t want to deal with it.

I’ve been a customer for 8 years and they have now takn my money and hijacked my domain. Customer service is dead yet there’s nothing wrong with their online invoice system. Their website needs to be brought down so they stop scamming people. Fraudulent bastards. Why hasn’t something been done by now???

Mike Sampson { Customer for more than 2 years}

In the same boat as Sam. Another long term customer. Have paid for my domain to be renewed but a week later nothing has been done. No response to email or support tickets. I’m going to try once more to contact someone and then report them to my bank.

Stay away from cyberpixels.com at all costs.

Kristen { Customer for more than 2 years}

I’ve been with Cyberpixels since 2001!! They use to have superbe hostings and services, but the past 2 years were HORRIBLE!! Disappearing is one. Voice Mail is fully loaded so no customer service at all. Unstable hosting – they will disappear and reappear! It was working on one day, and it stopped working on the other day. Good thing I took of automatic payment, now that their site is completely down! My mom has her site hosted + domain name with them, and she renewed it a whole month before head, and until now, 2 months already, it is still not working. They took the money but did not renew with enom for the domain name (so now we can’t get that domain back, and we can’t ask enom anything because we need Cyberpixels permission), and the hosting is completely down.

Mine on the other hand, was a bit luckier.. I paid, and they didn’t renew anything neither. Until I complained for a few weeks, then suddenly they decide to put it back up… What’s wrong with them?

Dan { Customer for more than 2 years}

My website hosted on Cyberpixels was abruptly shut down with no warning, and I have no access to my Cpanel. AND multiple messages to tech support have gone unanswered.

This service should be avoided.
